Alla prima is how this painting was done, finished in just under three hours! This is my favorite painting approach, quick, loose and succinct. A 12x16 inch canvas, perched on a traditional french easel, splattering oil paint all over is my style!

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
